Murfölde is not only one of the most forested areas in Hungary, but it is the home of the biggest red deer stock of the world. A one of a kind oasis surrounded by hills, divided by lakes and crystal clear brooks. Wild boar stew, chanterelle, crayfish, pumpkin seed oil, blueberries and strudel – just some of the treasures Murafölde has to offer.
NAGYKANIZSA, THE CAPITAL OF MURAFÖLDE
Nagykanizsa, the oldest town of Zala county lies next the forests of Murafölde and the vineyard hills of Kis-Balaton. Built in the 18th and 19th centuries, the palaces and squares of the historical downtown are extraordinary reminders of a golden era. The festival is located close to Nagykanizsa, at a lakeside, which is – in our opinion – one of the nicest festival locations in Hungary.
